The TV SHOW TAG – Gilmore Girls

I’m thinking of making this a weekly thing, at least for a while. So lets go for another favorite!

1. What’s your favorite TV show?

So I’m skipping this one…

2. From 1-10, how obsessed are you?

I would say about 9. I love this show, I want to rewatch it, but I watched the whole thing less than a year ago so I’ not going to do that for a while.

3. Do any of your friends watch the show? Are they as obsessed as you?

Yes one of my best friends watch it, and is more obsessed than me.

4. How did you discover the show?

My friend recommended it to me last year. I had watched a couple of episodes on television when I was younger but never really got the show. i think it is often mistaken for being just a cute teenage show but it is actually really intellectual.

5. What was your first initial thought of the show and did it change after watching it?

As I said I just thought it was a cute teenage show but it was much funnier, more clever and more feminist than i had expected.

6. Why do you like the show?

I just love the Rory/Lorelai relationship. I love following their lives in this little town and their friday dinners are so much fun to watch.

7. Who’s your favorite character in the show?

Lorelai and Emily Gilmore. I love Rory too but they are my favorites. Especially in scenes together. Paris is a lot of fun too!

8. Who’s your least favorite character?

Logan,  he is such a douche.

9. How would you kill off your favorite character?

I wouldn’t, this is not a “killing off” kind of show

10. Who’s your crush on the show?

I wouldn’t say I have a crush on Luke, but I want to find my own Luke.

11. If you were to be a character, who would you choose?

Lorelai! Love her, and she is as obsessed with coffee as I am.

12. What’s your favorite episode?

I think the thing with Gilmore is that most episodes are really great. It doesn’t have those really boring episodes that some other shows has, it’s just awesome, always.

13. What’s your favorite season?

I don’t know, maybe the first one, because it’s the one where you fall in love with it all. Also the one where Rory meets Paris and goes of to school and…aw it’s just fun. I also like the later seasons though because of Lorelai and Luke.

14. Do you watch it when it airs or do you DVR/TiVo it?

I binge watched it.

15. Who do you ship?

Luke/Lorelai, so much that it hurts!

16. Do you follow the cast on Twitter?

No.

17. What’s something that reminds you of the show?

Books! I love that there is a “Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge” I want to read everything from that list, plan to make a tiny bit of progress on that in june.

18. Which one of the characters would you like to meet?

Probably Rory, I would love to go to  uni with her. Imagine studying literature with her, wow.

19. If you could meet any one of the actors, who would you like to meet?

Lauren Graham, she seems to be the funniest person ever.

20. Which actor is similar to their character?

I don’t know, but i think both Lauren and Alexis probably are kind of similar, in some ways

The TV Show Tag – Buffy the Vampire Slayer

So in this tag you are supposed to pick your favorite show but since I watch…well….many tv shows I decided to make it in to different editions.

1. What’s your favorite TV show?

I have many but this list will be about Buffy the Vampire Slayer

2. From 1-10, how obsessed are you?

I would say 8 at the moment, but it is in my top 3 (trust me, it’s difficult to be top 3) but it was definitely 10 when I was binge watching it. I have only watched it from start to finish once though but I am thinking of doing it again soon and not just watch my favorite episodes.

3. Do any of your friends watch the show? Are they as obsessed as you?

Yes I have many friends who love it and i would say some of them are.

4. How did you discover the show?

Very late actually. I think I watched it for the first time in the summer of 2011. I watched the whole thing and it saved a really sucky summer/fall for me.

5. What was your first initial thought of the show and did it change after watching it?

I was unsure if I was going to love it. As a kid i was obsessed with Charmed and I saw Buffy as a bad version of that. It isn’t at all though, and it didn’t take me love to realize that. I was a bit bothered to the bad special effects and how the vampires looked when I watched the first season, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

6. Why do you like the show?

It’s funny, it’s well written, it has excellent characters in it and it’s not a show with 99% males in them (let’s be real, 99% of everything is)

7. Who’s your favorite character in the show?

Buffy Summers, Spike, Anya and Rupert Giles. I really can’t pick one.

8. Who’s your least favorite character?

Angel! I don’t like him at all and I loved that he got his own series so I didn’t have to see hi anymore.

9. How would you kill off your favorite character?

I wouldn’t

10. Who’s your crush on the show?

Spike….and Buffy.

11. If you were to be a character, who would you choose?

Again, Buffy. Just love her.

12. What’s your favorite episode?

I have a couple. Hush, the one where Buffy can read thoughts, the one where Buffy and Giles think they are getting married, the one where Buffy is in a psyciatric hospital (I know i make them sound like Friends episodes but i just don’t know the names and I’m to lazy to check).

13. What’s your favorite season?

Season 6. I think most of my favorite episodes are in season 4 but Riley is in that as well, don’t like him.

14. Do you watch it when it airs or do you DVR/TiVo it?

I have the box set and it’s on netflix so no.

15. Who do you ship?

Buffy/Spike, Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya. So the ones that Whedon created I guess.

16. Do you follow the cast on Twitter?

No, I think I might follow Sarah Michelle Gellar and Anthony Head but I am not sure.

17. What’s something that reminds you of the show?

I Wanna Be Sedated – Ramones

18. Which one of the characters would you like to meet?

Rupert Giles, I want to own a book shop with him!

19. If you could meet any one of the actors, who would you like to meet?

Alyson Hannigan, she seems really kind. Well I want to meet them all, but if I can only pick one.

20. Which actor is similar to their character?

I don’t know if any of them are, really.
